Great News: Prof Stephen Hawking expected to make full recovery!

It’s with true delight that I report great news, regarding Prof Stephen Hawking’s recent health scare.  It seems the genius physicist and mathematician is expected to make a full recovery, after being rushed to hospital on Monday for “urgent tests” following three weeks of illness.

Prof Hawking suffers from the crippling, motor neurone disease.  This has left him wheelchair bound; only able to speak with the help of a voice synthesiser.

He was first diagnosed with the disease at the age of just 21, and told he could expect to live for a maximum of 2 years. The condition gradually took away his ability to speak and move in his limbs. However, Prof Hawking has gone on to become Britain’s oldest-known survivor of motor neurone disease; at the age of 67!

Everyone involved with The Tech News Blog wishes Prof Hawking and his family all the very best!

You are absolutely right – I think mine was one of a VERY small number of news blogs, to cover Prof Hawking’s recovery. Says a lot about the media eh?

    Good news indeed.

(And I no longer expect the MSM to even understand why Dr. Hawking is important.)

What a relief to read the good news! However I am ashamed that I had to do a Google search to find out.

You’re a fighter Professor and we expect you to be with us for a long, long time.

    Bless You,
