StumbleUpon traffic IS BETTER than Google!

StumbleUpon traffic BEATS Google!

There seems to be a belief online, that traffic from StumbleUpon is not ‘as good’ as traffic from other sources.  That’s like saying “computers don’t work” – purely because you are too fricking stupid to use one!

The people who use StumbleUpon are interested in finding great content and sharing that great content with other StumbleUpon users (like me!)  So, if they arrive at a site or blog and it’s packed with interesting stuff, they are actually far MORE likely to recommend that site than other Internet users!

Think about it – this makes StumbleUpon traffic far more valuable than Google or Yahoo traffic!

However, if Stumblers find crap when they arrive…

If a ‘Stumbler’ arrives at a website or blog and there’s nothing there worth sharing – they will leave just as quick as they came…. JUST LIKE ANY OTHER SENSIBLE PERSON!

It’s not the StumbleUpon traffic that’s low quality – it’s the crap people from StumbleUpon are often faced with when they follow a link!

I get just as many (or more) comments on this blog from StumbleUpon users as from any other group of Internet users.  If you want to get more from the StumbleUpon users who visit your site – stop thinking the problem is with THEM and make your content worth sharing!

If your content is good – Stumblers WILL share it!

    Good post. People are people and if there’s something worth recommending they will. I hate people accusing stumbleupon visitors as being lower value. If it’s worth sharing, like you say, we will! Jackson

    When someone says they see little benefit form stumblers visiting their site, it’s like saying;
    “People looking for great content come here and then leave immediately!”

    Not something to brag about!

    I never thought about SU traffic like that before. I always blamed the source but now I am wondering if it was the content on my site that meant they never DID anything. Interesting post.
