I've stuck around even through all the outages and the recent billing fiasco, since you do get a good bang for your buck and I like the candidness in their blog. While most companies I've had experience with will just tell you a problem exists and they're working on it during outages, Dreamhost will explain exactly what happened even if it was the fault of one of the company founders. Well, I hope I don't ever have the same experience you had JC, it really is a pain to move sites over to a new hosting company and reconfigure everything..
