Natali Del Conte DELETES most of her viewers & fans from Twitter!
Natali Del Conte recently decided to make her busy life a little easier! The talented star of CNET’s ‘Loaded‘, decided to follow fewer people on Twitter. After all, Natali Del Conte is a very hot prospect right now and is deservedly breaking into mainstream media with great success.
However, could the wonderful Ms Del Conte have just scored a major FAIL?
You see, rather than simply ignoring (or un-following), people that were eating into her time, (like everyone else does), Natali has manually BOOTED most of her fans and viewers from her Twitter ‘follow’ list – Yes, including me!
As I write this, when you look at the 64 people Natali has decided ARE worth following, they just so happen to include ALL the important ‘Tech Industry people who where on her original list!
So, it’s just her viewers and fans that Natali Del Conte is too busy for?
Was Natali right to erase her fans and viewers?
Natali Del Conte is a busy lady – surely she has the right to delete the slack from her Twitter list?
Let me know what YOU think!

I was deleted from her twitter list but she never told me she just dis it. I think shes getting too big headed.
Hey Alan,
It’s possible that Natali is getting a little ‘big for her boots’ – but I hope it was just that she didn’t realise the way her actions would look from the outside.
It was a strange thing for someone who works in technology broadcasting to do; especially when you consider the way news travels around the Internet.

I can’t see anything wrong here. Who wants to follow a load of losers?
Yeah but just because natali didn’t realize how her acting like a little princess would look, don’t mean she was right to do it. Come on! The thing here is that she acted like a prima donna treating her stupid fans like shit. Who is she anyway?
Loaded is cool but this is really lame from Natalie. Maybe it was her management who did it and not her? Do we know she did it herself?
Natali sent a few Tweets saying she was going to delete some people, so it seems it was her. Unless her management people (does she have management people) Tweet using her name.

I used to work with Natali (she was a news editor here for extremetech.com and pcmag.com) and I’m sure she didn’t delete people because she didn’t like them or whatever.
I know I certainly don’t have the time or patience to have all my “followers” on my twitter list (jasoncross00 – substantially fewer than Natali!) on my follow list. As it is, the signal to noise ratio on my twitter list is a bit too high for my tastes.
I’m sure as her twitter popularity has grown, she just did what I have done – limited the people she follows to people she actually knows personally or who post the kind of “information-heavy” updates that she finds a lot of value in. Hell, I’m not on her list either. Don’t take it personally.
Everyone uses Twitter differently, and who you follow determines how well Twitter meets your needs. If she’s using Twitter for news gathering (I’m not saying she is, but lots of journalists do), then it wouldn’t make sense to follow her fans–it would actually make Twitter pretty much useless.
@jasoncross
Thanks for some positive feedback regarding Natali and Twitter. It was getting very one-sided; even without the comments I had to delete because they too offensive!
I think it’s as you say; that she is simply following people she knows or would like to know. As I said in the post, I think she has the right (like the rest of us) to do what the hell she likes.
@kyle m
From the email / comments we have received it seems the problem was with the fact that she deleted only her viewers from the list. Had she not followed them in the first place, the problem would not have happened.
It was a definate PR screw-up – albeit an unintentional one.
Also, after reading some of the shit I have had to remove from these comments; from people who claim Natali deleted them from her ‘follow’ feed – I wouldnt want to follow them either!
Thanks guys,
JC
Get real. The only reason any of you have even heard of her is that she has a very basic understanding of gadgets and looks passable. In geek terms she might be a goddess but in the real world shes just an average looking chick who can read an autocue.
She sounds like a total ***** so why are you guys even bothered about her – next!
Gavin
@Timberwolf
You are a complete asshole!
Oh man. Who gives a s*** about natali delconte? Where does she get off being so fricking arrogant? She has no idea about technology. when she speaks it’s like listening to an adult speaking with a child.
BTW, Timberwolf is right that she is not as beautiful as she seems to think she is. Give me Cali Lewis, Amber MacArthur or Veronica Belmont any day. These guys are serious tech-heads, far more attractive and not arrogant.
You are gonna love this.
Here’s natali’s most recent seeds of wisdom on twitter……
Seems she was fishing for compliments from her adoring dumbass fans about wearing some tight jeans. Here’s her exact feed as I write this. You need to read from the bottom up:
@meyercr def not fishing. i can’t imaging actually wearing those jeans. i’m not 22 anymore. :) about 14 hours ago from twhirl in reply to meyercr
White low and skinny Levis. They fit (barely) but I don’t think I can pull it off. Are white jeans still in? about 16 hours ago from twhirl
My friend who works for Levi’s just sent me 5 new pairs of jeans! Score! About to do office fashion show for Loaded and @the404 crew! about 16 hours ago from twhirl
She knows how to play to her 15 year old male viewers!
@shannon
I thought you were joking – then I saw it was TRUE – it’s all in her twitter feed. OK, maybe I was giving her a little too much credit.
I just can’t stand that girl. She is (or acts) in fact as a little princess and prima donna. She is so out of place in when she is featured in Buzz Out Loud. It’s just like listening to a fashion commentator, at a technology podcast.
Hi Berbar,
Your opinions seem to be in line with every comment I have received, other than that posted by her friend Jason.
Natali seems to have a growing credibility problem as a serious tech journalist, among my readers. The fashion thing seems to be getting in the way!
Please remember – I have deleted stacks of posts about natali, because they contained too much foul language to publish. Believe it or not, what you see here are the most complimentary things people have posted.
I never knew Natali was like that. I checked and she’s deleted me too. I do’nt get why someone in the public eye would do something this crazy, IMHO.
Gotta be a bad PR move. If you Google “natali del conte twitter”, all this negative stuff is near the top of page one.

@dtrain
Wow! I just did that google search and it shows this post just like you said.
In fact, google ‘natali del conte’ and this blog features twice on the second page. I have no idea why, but it explains all the traffic.
Oh, and rest assured Natali is waaaay too famous for anything in this blog to cause her a pr problem! Plus, I dont think the story has been covered anywhere else.
JC
jimconnolly,
I don’t really care if this blog causes her a problem or not. That’s not the point. We are just discussing about somebody.
It seems the people has spoken. I don’t see a point in carrying this discussion further.
thetechnewsblog1,
Thank you for your answer.
@berber
It doesn’t seem ‘the people’ have spoken. Just around a dozen people – that’s all.
I have reviewed a lot of Natali’s professional output and I have to say – it’s impressive. She has worked with and impressed some of the biggest and most respected people in technology publishing / broadcasting.
In fact, as a ‘tech writer, a broadcaster and a presenter, Natali has excelled everywhere she has worked.
Also, speak with ANYONE who has worked with Natali and they have only praise for her.
Come on people, it is only Twitter! It is not like you used to get invites to dinner and now she does not call you! It is ONLY a social web site. Geez!!!
