iPhone, The BBC and me

As you may already know, my last blog post was picked up by the BBC. You can read my post (and some VERY funny comments from someone called Ryker) by clicking here.

Rory Cellan-Jones quoted me in his blog and Jeremy Hillman, the Editor of their Business and Economics Unit has actually linked to the post and explained what he thinks. Here’s his post and why he thinks I am wrong!

Now, I do not agree with the insane amount of coverage the BBC has given the iPhone launch; however, I salute their decision to bring the story of their coverage out into the open.

I wonder how many other news gathering organizations would have done the same?

Thank you Rory and Jeremy for being ‘proper’ about this!

I can’t help thinking that the BBC did a better job of:
    1) Reporting about the IPhone
    2) Responding to your complaints of coverage in a well balenced way

I am left feeling that what you (technewsblog) actually added was not worth all of the reading. You have taken advantage of the exposure, but added no discernable value. Your posts regarding this are surely nothing more then puff?

    Cheers.
